According to the announcement dated May 18 by the Immigration Department, foreign nationals enter to Vietnam on the basis of visa exemption, e-visa or tourist visa from March 1, 2020 is now automatically extend temporary residence permits until the end of June 30, 2020.
You can exit during the above period without having to carry out the procedures for extending the temporary residence.
In case of entry before March 1, 2020, you need produce written certification from their diplomatic mission via a diplomatic note, with a Vietnamese translation, showing you have been quarantined or treated for COVID-19, or you cannot leave the country under other force majeure conditions
